Course Overview
The Work Safely at Heights 1 day course provides the training needed to obtain a Work Safely at Heights (RIIWHS204E). Upon passing the course, you’ll be certified to work at heights in any industry where these working conditions are found.
Successfully completing this course will allow you to inspect, fit and use height safety equipment whilst working at heights.

Work safely at heights is being delivered, assessed by BKR Training and
Statement of Attainment issued by DLI Training (RTO ID: 21714).
DLI Training is accredited by ASQA and is responsible for the quality of training, assessment and issuance of certification.
Entry Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Able to read, understand, and write English
- Able to produce and meet the evidence of identity identification requirements
- Protective Personal Equipment – safety boots, high-visibility vests, and hard hats – are mandatory.
- Successfully complete the enrolment process including LLN assessment.
- Where training and assessment is to be completed in the workplace, the following entry requirement is included:
- Nominate and have approved a suitable workplace to complete the course.
- This course doesn’t have any prerequisites.
Vocational Outcome
After the completion of the Working Safely at heights course, the participant will gain the following skills and Knowledge:
- Legislative Requirement: WHS Australian Standards and Codes of Practices.
- Identify work instruction and procedures.
- Operate Work at heights & Check safety system periodically for compliance.
- ability to check, clean, maintain and store equipment and other tools.
- Perform work at heights.
- Ensure the safety system has been installed according to workplace procedures.
- Identify and address potential risks, hazards and environmental issues, and implement control measures according to workplace procedures.
- Undertake manual handling of materials and equipment according to workplace procedures.
